Dog gone it!

When I went to reach for the scissors on the hook at the store flashes of Kam cutting his hair flooded my mind. Right then and their I vowed that I would keep them out of his reach and only let him use them when I could watch him like a hawk. Sounds safe right. I mean after all they are KID scissors and the boy loves doing art. So I bought the scissors.

Last night Justin was gone so I was looking for things to entertain the kids and pass time. I decided to get the scissors out of hiding and sat right next to Kamden as he cut pictures out of an old magazine. I looked away from Kamden for five seconds to help Karson get some candy from his pez dispenser and I suddenly hear a YIPPP! Poor little Ellie was sound asleep on the floor next to us and she got awoken when Kamden decided to take the scissors to her ear. Blood started dripping all over the place. MY CARPET!!! AH GEEZ!! She was bleeding a ton so I was expecting the worst. Luckily when I finally got her to hold still and got the bleeding to stop, I saw it was just a little cut.
Needless to say Kamden got sent to his room for the night, I spent the rest of the night scrubbing the carpet, and the scissors will be up high somewhere in hiding for a very long time!!

How safe are KID scissors that can cut through a dogs ear anyway?

The ups and downs of March.

It seems like the month of March is such a yo-yo month. One second it is nice and sunny and you think to yourself "yes spring is finally here" then the next its a blizzard outside. That is kind of how the last two weeks have been around here. The boys were sick once again. This year has felt like the never ending sick season! Runny noses, cough, along with the fever. Will it ever end? Luckily the sun came out and we were able to get out of the house in some nice warm weather. Kamden enjoyed riding his little bike around and Karson was more then content being pulled in the wagon. I was just happy about getting out of the house!

Last week we went up to Island Park and stayed the week at the cabin. It was so relaxing. Nothing to do and no where to go. It was fabulous!! We just lounged around all day. It was a much needed break for me. Justin took Friday off and came up for the weekend. We had a great time all together. Our wonderful week ended to soon, and to make matters worse we had to drive home in a blizzard. So much for that warm weather we were having. Here is some pictures from this past month.

My boys love their Aunt Karlee, and we always have so much fun when she comes over to play. They especially love to play with her shoes! I can't blame them though look how cute they are.

When the boys wake up in the morning they love getting in my bed to watch some cartoons. It dosn't last long before they find they have bigger and better things to do but is sure is cute seeing them cuddle.

Introducing......

I'm getting some much needed R and R at the cabin right now but just wanted to take a little time out to introduce Mr. Justin T. Johnson!! Several of you read his blog post last year on our family blog and due to many request he has now started his own. It's witty, smart, and defiantly entertaining, so you can check it out at http://www.readingthestrings.blogspot.com/.

ENJOY!

I think I see a leprechaun.

Yesterday we woke up to find that we had been visited by a leprechaun. There was a trail of tiny green footprints from the garage to the fridge, then going up the fridge. Inside we found that the leprechaun had drank some of our milk and turned it green. Kamden was so excited!!! For the rest of the day Kamden kept talking about the footprints and the milk. He told everyone he could about it. He kept looking out the window saying "mom I think I see the leprechaun!" That night the leprechaun left another surprise, some green balloons and green treats. The boys had fun playing with their balloons. It was a great St. Patricks day.

I love the look on Kamdens face when he sees the green milk.

Help yourself.

Although I don't recall the words "Help Yourself" coming from my mouth today, that must have been what Karson heard because that is exactly what I found him doing.

March has blown right in.

Well it is already March and I have been so behind on my blogging. Not that there has been to much excitement going on around here. Last month both boys were sick and then they both ended up having ear infections. Well Justin and I were feeling left out so we decided to go and get ourselves a nice case of the flu. It started this past weekend. Justin had a weekend ski trip planned with some coworkers and my sister was coming to stay with me. Justin ended up sick in the lodge and I ended up down in bed while my sister watched my kids. The next few days my parents helped us out while the flu blew through us. Justin is still super warn out, and I still have a nasty cough but we both are on the mend. Luckily the boys got flu shots, so neither of them caught it. Next year I will for sure get myself one too.

So I have decided that I have two little monkeys, not children. They are all over the place. It must be a case of spring fever. I can't seem to keep them entertained enough, or come up with enough fun things for them to do. They have so much energy! It doesn't help that I have been sick in bed. This morning I was catching up on some much needed laundry. (You know its bad when you have more dirty clothes then clean ones.) When I heard the boys giggling. I went in the bathroom and found Karson naked sitting on the toilet. Kamden informed me that he was trying to go potty. Kamden had taken off Karsons clothes and diaper and helped him up. Karson was ecstatic and so happy to be sitting on the toilet like a big boy. He didn't end up actually using the potty but he did give it a good try. Kamden was more then happy to help his little bro.

Last night I didn't get around to bathing the boys so I did it this morning. When I got them out I thought they looked so cute in their little lion towells so I took some pictures. I was taking one of Kamden when all the sudden I heard a little Ppppssssss!! I turned around and their Karson was in all his glory peeing on the carpet. Oh geeez! Why did I want carpet again?

I can't wait for it to warm up so we can run around and play outside. It will be so nice to get some of their energy used up. And on the bright side if Karson pees on the grass I wont even have to clean it up! YAY!

Showing a little love!

Although I have no pictures of the chillins to show, (yes I know very boring) I would like to let everyone know what an amazing husband I have. Okay so most of you already know that but this Valentines day was no exception. Justin surprised me with one of these.

An i pod touch!

I was so surprised and so excited. If you haven't played with one of these toys you must. They are so amazing!! You can get on the internet check you email, view your facebook page, listen to all your music, view your pictures, even watch movies on it, and that's only the beginning. I have been having so much fun with mine and can hardly put it down. There is just way to much fun packed into this little thing. The best part about it though is that Justin had it engraved on the back. It reads "To the best mom, wife & friend. Love-The Boys." Ahhhh isn't that so incredibly sweet. He even got flowers for me the next day. I sure do love that man!!!

Friday night we went out on a date. We had dinner at Ruby River steak house. That place sure is good. Then we went and visited some friends. It was nice to spend time as a couple. Saturday we went around and delivered our valentines. That night we had our traditional heart shaped pizza for dinner and then made sugar cookies. I love making traditions as a family. I sure do love my boys!!
