Playing catch up.

I absolutely love the summer. It is my favorite time of year and this year has been no exception. We have had a very fun filled, eventful summer. I have been completely ignoring my blog and have just been enjoying life. Unfortunately I now have a lot of catching up to do.

Lets turn back the pages of time to July. Oh boy did that month just fly right by. We started out the month celebrating the forth of July in Island Park. As I have mentioned several times I just love going to I.P but the fourth of July is my absolute favorite time to be there. While there we did lots of boating, eating, tubing, relaxing, and 4-wheeling. We watched a parade of people on 4-wheelers that they had decorated, and that night enjoyed watching fireworks from the boat. My favorite part of the fourth of July up there. We had a great and wonderful time, I even convinced my parents to take a tube ride. Thanks Jon and Mary for letting us use your cabin.

Also while up in Island Park we took a drive up to Sawtelle. (The mountain with the ball on top of it.) It is the first time I had ever been on top of it and there was some breathtaking views.

We had a great 4th of July weekend!

The next weekend Justin took the boys camping with his mom and Jim to Rigby. The boys had a wonderful time getting dirty. Saturday morning we went to Stocktons baptism while Janice watched the boys for us. Justin headed back out to Rigby and the boys shot guns while I attended a good friends baby shower. Unfortunately I have no pictures of the boys camping but I asure you they were dirty from head to toe and had a wonderful time.

July 13th we all went to the airport to say goodbye to my brother Austin. He left for boot camp and will be gone till the end of November. He is going into the National Guard and we are so proud of him. It was super hard to say goodbye and we all left with tears in our eyes. We will miss him, but we are very proud.

We celebrated Randys Birthday on the 21st. Happy Birthday Rand man! We went out to eat at Garcias and then headed to their house for cake and ice cream.

The weekend of the 24th-26 we headed for yet another camping trip, this time to mink creek. It was the Harker family reunion, my moms side of the family, and their was around 244 people that came. It was a lot of fun to see family that I haven't seen in awhile and catch up with cousins. We all had a great time but were absolutely exhausted when we got home.

On the 29th of July we headed down to Utah for the day to visit some friends we had in Michigan. We met up at a kids playplace and had fun catching up while the kids played. Kamden even got to try rollerskating for the first time. He was pretty tipsy but had a good time. It was so nice seeing the Olsens and the Prescotts. We were so glad we were able to see them again!

We had a very busy but very fun July. Next post I will have to do some catching up on August.

The big two!

Karson turned the big two years old June 30th. I took him to the Dr. and this is how he measures up.

Weight 27lbs 6 oz (42%)
Height 34,3/4" (64%)

We had a family party for him monday night and had lots of fun. The cute sandbox pa and tutu gave him.

We have sure enjoyed Karson being a part of our family. He is a very funny boy with a mind of his own. He is super determined, and strong willed. He loves to be active and climb, jump, dance, and run. Not much scares him. He loves animals, and balls. He loves to eat and is always messy in some way. He is mellow and dosn't talk much but has hilarious facial expressions that let you konw exactly what he thinks and feels. He is a very special boy, sweet, and loves to give hugs and kisses. Happy two year old birthday Karson we sure love you!

What a big boy!

Took Kamden to his Four year old physical and this is how he measured up!

He is 42 lbs- (95%) and a whopping 44" tall (so tall he is off the charts). We have a giant on our hands! :)

Dr. Edwards says that he looks great but might need some private speech therapy. Back at the begging of the year I had him tested through the school district and they said that he did not qualify for the free speech program. When I asked the Dr. how much the private speech therapy cost he told me that it runs about $150 a session and they usually do one session per week. WHAT! How can anybody afford that! I guess for now we will just have to wait till the next school year begins so we can test him again, and hopefully get some free speech therapy. Other then that the Dr. said that Kam looked great! Poor little guy had to get shots before leaving and he scrame so loud my ears rang! But thank heavens we will be done with that till he is 11 now!

I have noticed in the last couple of weeks that Kam has really started to grow up. He is such a funny little man and has quite the energetic personality. He loves teasing everyone and is very silly. Lately he has been taking apart everything and anything with the screw driver. He takes the door plates off the doors, takes apart chairs, toys, and pretty much anything with screws in it. I finally had to start hiding all the screw drivers or my whole house would be dissembled. Kamden has always been more timid, but is defiantly coming out of his shell a little. He loves to sing and dance, play blocks, and watch Diego and Dora. He loves to snuggle in the mornings, and stay up late watching football with dad. He loves to explore, and see how things work. He is such a fun little guy and we love him so much. Our family just wouldn't be the same without him!

A Dedicated Father.

After a weekend away from home, where is my hubby as soon as we get home at 9:00 Sunday. Not downstairs watching T.V, not in bed sleeping, but outside working on the boys swing set! What a dedicated Father!

Justin proved himself to be a wonderful Father the second Kam was born. Holding and cuddling him and even changing all those gross first diapers. As a matter of fact I don't think I even changed Kamden for the first week of his life because Justin did it. He even showed me how to burp Kamden "the right way", after the nurses had taught him. ;)
Nothing has changed through the years, he is still an amazing dad. He still changes diapers, wakes with the kids in the night, and sometimes even sleeps in Kams tiny twin bed because Kam needs him. He has a heart of gold and the strength to carry us all through our rough times. He is an amazing father therefore and amazing husband. Thank you so much Justin for being such a dedicated dad! You truly are the best and we are lucky to have you! Happy fathers day Justin!

Guess who is four years old!

Our little man Kamden turned four years old on Saturday the 13th. And oh boy did we celebrate! Thursday night kicked off our Birthday festivities at Pa and Tutus. We had a wonderful birthday dinner, cake and presents. Kamden was pretty surprised, and thrilled to start celebrating his B-day. Friday morning we had a Spiderman themed party where Kam was able to invite some of his friends. We played games, had a spiderman pinata, ate cake, and more presents. He had such a fun time and it was so fun to plan and put together.

Birthday Boy!

Blow Kam Blow!

Birthday boy and brother!

Saturday morning when Kam woke up I told him Happy Birthday and told him that he was now four years old. He asked me "Ma what does four years old do?" I told him that it means that he is growing up and getting big, all the sudden he got all excited and replied "OH MA, I'm almost as big as you!" It was so cute. Saturday afternoon Kam attended his friend C.J.s birthday party. Then afterwards Justin and I took him on a little date and went to game world. He loved it of course and was able to play all the games to his hearts desire. Then we went for ice cream. It was fun to spend the one on one time with him.

Sunday we had one more party with the family. We enjoyed some left over cake and more presents. This year we also decided to buy the boys a swing set for their birthdays. Thanks to all our family for pitching in on it. Although it isn't even close to being put up due to all the rainy days, I know that once it is they will have so much fun!

Happy Birthday Kamden we sure love you!

While the cats away the mouse will play.

While Justin was gone this last week we sure found some good ways to keep ourselves busy. It turned out to be a wonderful week!

Tuesday: Went to the cemetery yet again this time with my Aunts and some cousins. They went to visit my Grandpa and Grandmas grave. My mom has 12 siblings. When they get together it is a lot of fun. It was especially fun to see my good friend and cousin Kara. We all went to lunch together and besides the fact that my children were extremely unruly we had a nice time. That night we had family pictures with my family and then all headed off to Austins High School Graduation. We are so proud of him and excited for his next adventure in life.

Wednesday morning Justin flew out to Mississippi bright and early for work. I was a single parent for five days. My sister Tessa came and stayed with me and kept me company. It is always fun to have her around. That night the boys and I went to Randy's eight grade graduation. He had surgery a couple of weeks ago on his neck and has been required to wear a neck brace since then. Despite it he still choose to walk in his Graduation. Way to go Randy. Afterward we went to their house for cake and to play.

Thursday I decided that while Justin was gone I was going to decorate our master bedroom. The rest of the week and weekend I was so busy getting the room all put together. I finally got it all done just in the nick of time. Of course I didn't do it all alone my family helped me out a ton. Justin was pleasantly surprised, and it was so much fun to do it all for him.

Of course I still need to change out the bedding and get more stuff on the walls, but its much better then the dark brown walls.

Friday night I took a quick break from all my hard labors :) and had a girls night out. It was so much fun. We got food from Cafe Rio and took it to the park to eat. After that we all went and got manicures and pedicures at Austin Kade, then headed over to Mary Ellens house for some root beer floats. It was a wonderful night and I really enjoy being able to go out and just be a girl! After all Girls just want to have fun!

Usually it's the boys wearing me out, but this week I managed to even wear them out!
