Relaxation.

It has been a very nice week of relaxation. I have only ventured out to Sams club and the pet store. Other then that I have been locked up tight in my house. We have been doing a lot of playing and movie watching, and RELAXING!! I think this is the first week in seven months that we have stayed home this much. Its a much needed break!

I just wanted to take the time to share some funny pictures of the boys. They sure keep me busy as you can tell. Some of these are older but I thought they were still pretty funny.

Kamden found an old diaper box and some rope downstairs. So he tied the rope to the box and around himself. (My three year old ties amazing knots!) Then he lifted Karson into the box. At first Karson thought it seemed kind of fun, but then when Kamden took off running with Karson being pulled behind he decided it wasn't so fun.

I asked Kamden one morning to hurry and get dressed so we could head off to the store. Anyone who has kids knows how long it can take to get kids ready!! When Kamden came out this is what he had on. Notice his nice pose.

One morning I was trying to get some cleaning done so like any good mother would do I turned on the T.V and sat the boys in front of it. When I came back to my room I found Karson watching cartoons, and my bed a mess. Kamden had decided they needed snacks and had gotten marsh mellows and oreos out for them. Needless to say my sheets needed a good washing after that.

Partners in crime. Look where I found them hiding. Under Karsons crib.

As you can see we have lots of fun around here. Well at least they do. :) Speaking of fun. Last night we got a fresh six inches of snow. Although I hate the cold and driving in the snow, I love playing in it. The boys and I are off to get all bundled up for some fun in the snow!

A very long week.

This past week we have been busy with funeral preparations and plans. The funeral was held on Saturday January 17th. It was a nice tribute to my Grandfather. He was a veteran so he was able to have a military funeral. It was quite amazing!

It was a very long week and I am ready for a nice break in things. It seems like the last six months have been nothing but a whirlwind for us. This week I am going to take a much needed break from everything and do absolutely nothing!!!

George W. Colgrove

Late Saturday night my Grandpa George Colgrove passed away. I was able to be present when it happened. It was a very emotional yet spiritual event. He was 91 years old, almost 92, his birthday being this Thursday. He will be greatly missed.

He was a very kind, loving man with a huge sense of humor. A big tease. I have some great memories of him. My kids adored him, they called him Pa George. They loved going back to his room and playing with his cane, and rummaging through his odds and ends. Pa George always had a treat for them. Kamden learned this very fast and would always go back to grandpa room as soon as we got to my parents house. Pa George was always playing little pranks. When we were younger he would always stick out his tongue under his bottom dentures and wiggle it around. Back then we had no idea what dentures were and we were in awww and amused by his trick. One day my dad asked him "Dad how is your car running these days" without skipping a beat my grandpa replied "On gas!" Even up till the end his humor never faltered. He had been living with my parents for the last three years. It was nice to have him so close. I feel blessed to have him as such an important part of our lives. We will miss him dearly but are very glad he was able to return home.

Goodbye Pa George.

Closing Time!

So our house in Michigan is finally SOLD. Today we closed on it. It is a very bitter sweet thing. Bitter because we are loosing so much money, but sweet because now I don't have to worry about it any more. I am just excited to be done with it. No more finding someone to mow the lawn or shovel the walks. No more paying taxes on a house we don't even live in, no more sink holes in the back yard. Yay!

Of course when we were living in the house we built some wonderful memories! Such as it being our first house! Raising two boys there. Kamden was two weeks old when we moved in, and Karson was brought home from the hospital there. We laughed a lot, cried a lot, and grew a lot. Life as we knew it for three years revolved in that house. So in memory of our good ole house here are some pics. Goodbye 22800 Arlington St.

Happy New Year.

Wow what a whirlwind the last month has been. Things are starting to finally settle back down. Which means I need to catch up.

New Years Eve we had a nice dinner at my parents played some games then headed to my sister and brother in laws house to watch them set off fireworks. Kamden really enjoyed them and Karson was more interested in the toys. Justin and I came back to our house to put the boys to bed then my parents, little bro Eli, and his friend came up to play more games. We rang in the New Year and watched the ball drop on T.V. I kissed Justin and then we all headed off to bed.

New Years day was Grandma Johnsons birthday. We hosted a family party for her at our house this year. It was so much fun!!! Everyone was able to make it. We ate dinner and watched football, chit chatted, and even learned a new game. The kids played great together. It was one full house, but I loved every second of it! I think that Grandma had a great birthday!

Friday night we had some friends from Michigan who were in the area stop by. It was so good to see the Jorgensen family again! The kids got to see each other and that was pretty fun. Thanks for stopping by Jorgensen family!! That night my brothers watched the boys and we went up to Justins uncles house and played games till midnight with the Johnson family. We always have so much fun when we get together.

Happy New Year Everyone!!!
